Perfect Morning Smoothie Recipe

How has your week been so far? Today I thought I would do a post on how to make the perfect morning smoothie! I think smoothies are so filling and they are a great snack to keep you going throughout the day. This recipe is so simple and is so quick and easy to make. To make my smoothies I use the Breville Blend Active as it is a really good blender and is a dupe for the Nutri Bullet.

1 handful of fresh spinach

1 big handful of frozen berries

150ml Greek Natural yoghurt

A couple of ice cubes

1 chopped banana (still works without this as I had none at home)

Seeds – pumpkin or flaxseed (optional)

Making the smoothie:

Throw the spinach, frozen berries, yoghurt, ice cubes and the banana into your blender.

Add some water then blend. If the smoothie is too thick then add more water.

Pour smoothie into a glass or a Kilner Mug and enjoy with a paper straw!

I hope you enjoyed this recipe and has inspired you to make a smoothie!

My Favourite Drugstore Eyeshadow Palettes

Hello Everyone, I hope you have had a great day 🙂

Today’s post is about my favourite drugstore eyeshadow palettes. I only have two but I though I would share them with you as I really like them both. They are both very reasonably priced and I really recommend them.

The first palette is the Soap and Glory Lid Stuff quad eyeshadow palette in the shade ‘What’s Nude’ This palette has four quite natural eyeshadow shades which I really like as I normally go for more natural shades. Three of the eyeshadows are matt and one is shimmery. This quad costs £10 (I got mine for £8 as I had a voucher!) and you can buy it from Boots.

The second eyeshadow palette is the Collection Eyes Uncovered palette in Nude Bronze. I recently bought this palette because I was watching a Fleur De Force video on YouTube and it looked like a really good palette. The best thing about this palette is the price! I was pretty blown away that this was only £3.99! I got mine for £2.99 as it is currently on offer in Boots! Bargain! It is really pigmented and all the shades are shimmery which I like. There are also two other palettes with different shades so if you are not too keen on these colours then check out the other ones they have. I couldn’t recommend this enough!

I hope you enjoyed reading this post. Let me know of any other posts you would like to see in the future.

What are your favourite drugstore eyeshadow palettes?

February Favourites 2015

How quickly has February gone! Sorry this post is 3 days late, I have been pretty busy. I have actually taken some photos to include in a post but I haven’t had any time to actually write the post. I have to say that February has had its ups and downs for me as half term was really good but then other things were stressing me out so I had a real mix of emotions!

Here are some of my beauty and home favourites which I enjoyed using this month.

My first favourite is the Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer. I have been using this bronzer nearly everyday throughout February and I love it. This is definitely my all time favourite bronzer as it smells delicious and looks very natural. This bronzer also only costs £7.99 which is quite reasonable.

My next beauty favourite us the Clinique Chubby Stick in the shade ‘Woppin’ Watermelon’. This is the best chubby stick that I have ever tried as it is so moisturising and does not feel sticky at all. I love this colour as it is so natural and I can’t wait to but the full size as I only have the sample sizes. The full size version costs £17.00.

This favourite is very well known amongst most people. This is the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in the shade 2 Cool Medium. I know everyone raves about this concealer but I only got it at Christmas. I started using it for the first time this month and I have discovered for myself how good this concealer is. I would assume that this concealer was way over £10 if I didn’t know the price as it is such good quality. I really recommend this as it is also only £4.19.

My next favourite is a No7 Moisture Drench Lipstick in the shade ‘Rose Mist’. I’m sorry but just look how gorgeous this lipstick is! At the beginning of February, I went into Boots with my mum and had the No7 Lipstick Match where they found out what skin colour you have and then tell you what lipsticks you suit. I spotted the colour ‘Rose Mist’ on my card and fell in love! This is such a natural lip colour and an everyday wearable lipstick. It is also very moisturising and costs £9.95.

My last favourite is the vanilla tealight candles from Ikea. These tealights smell amazing and I have used them loads through February. I really recommend these tealights as you get 30 candles in a pack and it only costs £1.50! I will definitely be buying again!

I hope you enjoyed reading my February favourites. What have you enjoyed most about February and what are your favourites?
